West Kennet long barrow and Silbury hill

I’ve been to this long barrow many times over the years and even spent the night in one of the burial chambers although on discovery much to the fright of early morning visiting American tourists! Silbury hill collapsed (due to poorly shored ‘Victorian excavations’) after a hand fasting I performed a the summit, a year and a day they failed to show to renew their vows and on inquiry I learned they had separated. An companying friend really felt the presence of being inside this burial chamber, this a truly ancient place of our ancestors. These photographs were taken by myself on a 28th April 2017.
